JAMMU, Dec 16: A multi disciplinary super speciality camp was organized today at Government Super Speciality Hospital (SSH), Jammu wherein 13 super specialities of GMC and Associated Hospitals participated.
The camp was initiated by Atul Duloo, Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education (H&ME), in presence of Dr Sunanda Raina, Principal & Dean GMC & AHs, Jammu, besides Medical Superintendents of GMC & AHs.
More than 500 patients got benefit in the camp. Besides OPD services of various super specialities, free blood sugar test, other laboratory tests, ultrasound, X Rays etc. were done. Free medicines were provided to the patients. Audio visual health awareness programme for the public was organized and a separate kiosk for online registration of public under “Ayushman Bharat” was established.
The super specialists available for the camp were Dr Noor Ali (HoD CTVS), Dr IA Mir, Dr Arvind Kohli, Dr Mohit Arora, Dr Vivek Gandotra (all CTVS); Dr Dharminder & Dr Sanjeev Bhat (Cardiology), Dr Elias Sharma (HoD Urology), Dr Rahul Mahajan, Dr Ajay Anand, Dr Raja Langer, Dr Ranjeet Thakur (Urology); Dr Amit & Dr Raju (Nephrology); Dr Vivek Rishi & Dr Hardeep (Neurology); Dr Rajesh Mahajan for Pain Clinic; Dr Narinder Singh (Paediatric Surgeon); Dr Suhail Zahoor & Dr Ratnakar Sharma (Plastic Surgeons); Dr Vijayant Chandel & Dr Shoukat Choudhary (Gastroenterology); Dr Vikrant Chandel (Surgical Gastroenterology); Dr Javed (Medical Oncology); Dr Anil Sharma & Dr Suman Kotwal (Endocrinology) and Dr Vipul (Neuro Surgery). Dr Ghansham (HoD Radiodiagnosis & Imaging) and Dr Bhatia (HoD Biochemistry) were personally present along with their staff for free diagnostics.
Various Post Graduates, Registrars and paramedical staff of GMC and Associated Hospitals were present. Students of Bee Enn Institute of Nursing volunteered their services for the camp.
