JAMMU, Aug 21: On fourth and fifth day of the 7-day Multi Lingual Short Story Festival at JKAACL here Punjabi and Pahari writers presented their short stories.
In this Festival writers of Dogri, Hindi, Punjabi, Gojri, Pahari and Kashmiri languages will present their short stories.
An exhibition of various publications of JKAACL in all languages was also displayed during the festival.
On fourth day a total of nine Punjabi stories were read by prominent authors of Punjabi.
In inaugural session the writers who presented their short stories were Jasmit Singh, Manjit Singh Kamra, Amarjit Kour Neer, Prof. Anmole Singh and Antarjeet Kour.
This session was chaired by Dr. Baljit Singh Raina while Dr. M.K Waqar, Gojri Short story writer, Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Sheeraza Punjabi and Dr. Anuradha, Assistant Prof. Punjabi were present in the presidium.
In second session the stories were read by Dr. Monojit, Surinder Kaur Neer, Jang Singh Verman and Dr. Baljit Singh Raina.
Fifth day of the festival featured Pahari short stories. Anil Saigal, Senior Journalist and Dogri Writer was chief guest while Sheikh Azad Ahmad, veteran Pahari writer was guest of honour.
The writers who presented their stories were Sheikh Azad, Ghazanfar Hokar, Javaid Haqani, Altfa Janjua, Shamas Ud Din Shaz, Sheikh Zahour, Saleem Akhter and Mohd Farooq.
Altaf Hussain Janjua conducted the proceedings of the program. Reeta Khadyal, Assistant Editor, JKAACL presented vote of thanks.
The festival started on August 17 and will continue till August 23 daily from 10.30 am onwards and is open to all.
