MAHORE, July 29: District Development Councillor Mahore, Mohammad Israel today attended the concluding day function of Multimedia Exhibition on Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan, G20 and Mission LiFE here.
Speaking on the occasion he said that the Exhibition organized by Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Udhampur was the best initiative by Government of India (GoI) as the public in far-flung areas of Mahore was able to get first hand information regarding Government schemes and programs and their implementation.
He said that such exhibitions should be organized at regular intervals so that the general public especially in the far-flung areas may know about the benefits of these schemes.
Principal Degree College Mahore, Ashok Kumar said that new National Education Policy (NEP 2020) envisions an education system rooted in Indian ethos that contributes directly to transforming India sustainably into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society, by providing high-quality education to all.
Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, CBC Udhampur said, the government is working towards the upliftment of the poor in the country through various centrally sponsored schemes and programs and the pro-poor schemes of the government have brought a revolution in the country.
Sheikh Mudasir Amin, Media & Communications Officer said, the revolutionary step of Direct Benefits Transfer by the government has helped government to save Rs. 2.23 lakh crore going to the middlemen ensuring accountability and transparency in the implementation of Government schemes and programs.
Bodhraj, Community Health Officer, Mahore and Mohamad Ashraf, District ASHA Coordinator also spoke on the occasion.
Besides students, teachers, locals, employees of Jal Shakti and Health Department, ASHA workers, the concluding day of the event was attended by Principal HSS Mahore, Riyaz Hussain.
The whole event was coordinated by TA (S) CBC Udhampur, Gurnaam Singh.
An on the spot quiz competition was also organised on Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan and patriotic songs and cultural programs were also performed by the students.
Prizes were also distributed among the winners of quiz competition and cultural programs.
