SRINAGAR, July 4 Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Khan, today attached Executive Officer Municipal Committee Anantnag after a video clip showing him accepting bribe went viral on social media.
A video clip showing Executive Officer Municipal Committee Anantnag, Ghulam Mohammad Malik, allegedly accepting bribe at his residence in South Kashmir went viral on social media. The video also shows a liquor bottle by his side.

Soon after the video went viral, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Khan took cognizance of the video and immediately ordered attaching of the officer with his office till the veracity of the video is ascertained by the concerned agencies.
“The official whose video while accepting bribe has gone viral is attached with the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag with immediate effect till veracity of the video is ascertained by concerned agencies,” the order reads.
