JAMMU, Aug 3: Channi Himmat police today arrested a murder accused, who was evading arrest for the past five years. Additional Sessions court had already issued non bailable warrant against the accused, who has been identified as Abdul Majid son of Basheer Ahmad, a resident of Chowadi.
Police said the accused was wanted in a murder case of 2009 and a FIR No. 79/2009 had been registered against him at Channi Himmat police station. However, he was absconding since then.
The Additional Sessions court had already issued a non bailable warrant against the accused.
A police party headed by SHO Channi Himmat police station Inspector Sushil Choudhary made arrest of the murder accused under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq.
