JAMMU, Jan 22: Pouni Chack Police arrested a murder accused within 24 hours.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was received from a person namely Ram Paul, son of Ayodha Parkash of Gole that a dead body was lying in his property.
After the complaint, a team from Police Post Pouni Chack reached the spot and called team of FSL and conducted crime photography and videography of the scene of crime.
A case under FIR Number 20/2021 under Section 302 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Post Pouni Chack rounded up possible suspects and finally arrested the accused, who was identified as Gyan Dass, son of Vishnu Dass of Chattisgarh.
During further course of investigation, the accused revealed that he entered the hutment of Ram Paul, son of Ayodya Parkash of Gole and they indulged in scuffle, the reason for their spat was old enmity related to money matters and the accused with the malafide intention brought the deceased to his hutment.
After short scuffle, the accused person pushed the head of deceased person with the cemented floor and because of which the person got serious injuries on the head and started bleeding. The accused then fled away from the scene of crime.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Pouni Chack Inspector Mukhtiyar Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Chanchal Singh, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
