JAMMU, June 11: A murder accused, escaped from a Juvenile Home in Ranbir Singh Pura area.
As per police sources, a murder accused identified as Sanjay Raina (18+), son of Bassi Ram, a resident of Ratnu Chack, who was lodged in the Juvenile Home in a murder case this morning, escaped from the custody.
The murder accused was under trial in a case registered under FIR Number 5/14 under Section 302, 380 and 449 RPC with Gangyal police station.
The accused managed to break the iron grills from the window and fled away.
Teams have been constituted and raids are being conducted to apprehend him.
Meanwhile, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal told Excelsior that a fresh case against the murder accused has been registered at RS Pura police station.
He stated that SDPO RS Pura has been directed to conduct enquiry into the matter, adding that if anybody will be found guilty, action will be taken against him.
