POONCH, Aug 29: The police claimed to have arrested a youth in connection with a murder case in Surankote, during raid at his hideout in Karnataka today.
The accused has been identified as Nissar Ahmed, son of Wali Mohammed, resident of Marhote (Surankote). He was wanted in a murder case since July 3, 2017. A case FIR No. 114/ 2017 under sections 302/ 147/ 148 RPC had been registered against him.
The police party from Surankote, under the supervision of SHO Inspector Ajay Jamwal, SDPO Asgar Malik arrested the accused from Karnataka. The accused tried to doge police party but was chased and nabbed. He is being brought to Poonch. SSP, Poonch, Rajiv Pandey supervised the over all operation.
