Murder case solved, youth arrested

JAMMU, Aug 17: Domana Police worked out a murder case of a girl with the arrest of a youth.
As per police sources, on August 14 this year, an information was received at Police Station Domana from PCR Jammu that a girl has been brought dead at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu.
Taking cognizance of the matter, inquest proceeding was initiated and a Board of Doctors was constituted for conducting the autopsy.
After conducting autopsy, the dead body of the girl was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
During enquiry, the statements of some prime witnesses were recorded and based on the technical assistance and analysis of CCTV footage and interlinking of circumstantial evidences, the inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC was converted into a case FIR Number 228/2021 under Section 302 IPC at Police Station Domana.
After this, a special team led by SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul.
The police team connected the various leads and finally arrested the accused namely Rahul Kumar (22), son of Seva Ram, a resident of Vasuki Vihar Gurha Bantalab District Jammu who confessed his involvement in commission of crime.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
