Murder of woman worked out, accused arrested

JAMMU, Dec 14: With the arrest of the two persons including the main accused, Jammu Police claimed to have solved murder of a retired teacher, Nargis, wife of Mohammad Shahid Chowdhary of Peermitha Jammu.
The accused persons have been identified as Rahat Hajiz son of Dr Hafiz-Ullah Munshi R/o Trikuta Nagar and Mian Sohal son of Mian Younis R/o Rajbagh, Kathua. Both have confessed their crime.
Addressing mediapersons, SSP, Jammu, Atul Goel, said that police has solved the murder case by arresting main accused along with the co-accused.  On being asked, SSP, Jammu said that the duo has confessed the crime but some minute details are yet to be investigated, and added that some more arrests could take place in due course of time.
It may be recalled that  Nargis went missing on December 11 following which the family members on December 12 lodged a complaint with the police.
During the course of investigation, it was found that she had some dispute over property with one of her close relatives, police said.
The case has been worked out by the team led by SI Mashqoor Ahmed SHO, P/S Peermitha under the supervision of SSP Jammu Atul Goel, SP City Youghal Manhas, SDPO North City, Kubir Handa.
A case under relevant Sections has already been registered and the matter was being investigated, said police.
