Murderer-cum-notorious robber lands in police net

JAMMU, Dec 28: Police arrested a murderer-cum-notorious robber from Baba Fareed Nagar area near Seora, falling under the under the jurisdiction of Gangyal police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Gangyal police station conducted a raid in Baba Fareed Nagar, Seoura and arrested a murderer-cum-notorious robber, who was at large for the past several months and was wanted in various criminal cases registered with different police stations including Gangyal and Channi Himmat.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Kaala, son of Sher Ali, a resident of Chinore Farm. He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 256/15 under Section 307, 302, 147, 148, 149, 429, 325 and 120-B RPC with police station Gangyal. Arrest warrants under Section 512 RPC also stands issued against the said accused by Court.
He was also wanted in three cases registered under FIR Numbers 72/15 under Section 341 and 382 RPC, 183/15 under Section 458, 382 and 323 RPC and 184/15 under Section 458 and 382 RPC.
The accused was also involved in attempt to murder case registered with Channi Himmat police station under FIR Number 50 under Section 307, 353, 441, 325 and 382 RPC.
With the arrest of the accused, the police have achieved a major success as the accused along with gang members had created terror in the Jammu and Samba districts by looting the people. The gang also looted an ATM machine in Nanak Nagar, which was later recovered by the police.
Apart from Jammu police, Mohammad Kala was also wanted by Himachal Pradesh police in various cases.

Police team led by SHO Gangyal police station Inspector Aejaz Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
