JAMMU, Jan 13: Preserving art, culture and language, the artists of “Kashir Kalakaar Season-7” mesmerized audience with their stunning performances during grand finale of the event held at a banquet hall in Roop Nagar, here today.
The event organized by the Athrot Cultural Foundation and was supported by Kashmiri Pandit Volunteers, People’s Hut Foundation, Martand KP Brigade and Sabhar Cultural and Welfare Trust. Media partner of the event was Epilogue News Network and Custom & Excise News Network.
Dr Arvind Karwani (Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Migrants J&K) was the chief guest on the occasion, while senior community activist Moti Lal Malla (ASKPC), Swami Kumar Geeta Ji Ashram Muthi, Dr Ramesh Hangloo (founder Radio Sharda), Prof Virender Rawal (Vyeth Foundation), Ravinder Kumar Jogi (president, Zeshta Devi Prabhandak Committee), Ashinder Koul (former cricketer), AK Raina (former Director Education) and MK Yogi (former president, Martand) were the guests of honour. Special guests were Kirti Dhar, Desha Bhat, Vikram Koul, Arvin Tickoo, Pankaj Bhawani, Muktesh Yogi, Dr Rohit Koul and Aditya Tickoo.
Meanwhile, in Mini Junior (Singing) Vanshika Kaw got Ist and Naisha Bhat got 2nd Prize while third prize was bagged by Deepak Sharma. Trophies and Kenzi Khoas besides cash prize from Hindu Society were distributed among winners. In senior (Singing) category, Nirmit Raina was declared 1st, Shruti and Daksh were adjudged second while Lavanya and Suhas Koul got third prize.
The chief guest and other dignitaries honoured the winners and runners-up artists in various categories. The winners were also honoured with cash awards and scholarships from Hindu Society. The event was adjudicated by a panel of experts including Dr Ramesh Nirash and Sandeep Koul Sunny.
The event was held under the overall supervision of Athrot team headed by Abhimanyu Peshin, Deeraj Pandit and Ayush Bhat. Arvin Tickoo, Pranav Pandita, Vikram Koul, Dr Rohit Koul, Aditya Tickoo, Muktesh Yogi, Pankaj Bhawani were honoured during the event.
Pranav Pandita was the chief coordinator of the event while Pankaj Bhawani presented the vote of thanks. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by PK Raina.
Season-8 was also thrown open during the event by Kanwal Peshin, the mentor of the Foundation.
