SRINAGAR, July 15: The Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA) hosted the Lupins Festival Musical Extravaganza today at the Gulmarg Golf Club, drawing a vibrant crowd of tourists, locals, and hoteliers.
A spokesperson for the GDA said, in collaboration with Hotel Vintage Gulmarg, the event showcased the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir through performances by local artists from Bandipora. “The tourists present at the event were mesmerized and expressed gratitude to the GDA for organizing such colorful cultural events that enliven the evenings in Gulmarg,” he said.
The spokesperson continued, describing how the evening came alive with the enchanting melodies of Kashmiri Sufi songs and folk music, overseen by Faisal Ali Dar, the founder of Ali’s Sports Academy. “The soulful performances captured the hearts of both locals and tourists, creating an unforgettable atmosphere,” he said.
The spokesperson conveyed Chief Executive Officer Waseem Raja’s heartfelt gratitude to all the artists, guests, tourists, hoteliers, and locals for their enthusiastic participation and support. “He also recognized and honored the standout performers of the evening and announced plans to organize more such musical evenings in Gulmarg in the coming days.”
The spokesperson said the event was graced by dignitaries including the EO of MC Gulmarg, Tehsildar Gulmarg, SHO Gulmarg, and senior officers from the Army and CRPF, further adding to the grandeur of the evening.
