JAMMU, Dec 15: To celebrate ‘Vijay Diwas’, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) here today staged Dogri Musical Play ‘Uncha Rahe Trianga’ in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production, J&K Bhoomi Human Welfare Society & National College of Computer Education.
The play was written, produced and directed by M.L Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The programme was organized to highlight Indian victory over Pakistan in 1971 war.
On this occasion the artists and students of BLSKS recited different patriotic songs and presented some dance items.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K.
Among the guests of honor were V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity and others.
Earlier in his welcome address M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS had said that during the war of 1971, about 3,900 Indian soldiers were martyred while 9,851 were injured and after the end of this war, 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrender.
