JAMMU, Feb 3: To mark the life of the legendary singer, who made people laugh and cry with equal ease, Deepak Kumar a noted singer from Jammu paid musical tributes to Kishore Kumar in a programme organized by Nirvana Academy at Abhinav Theatre.
Kumar along with his co-singers Nandini Kapoor and Vishaka Bhardwaj mesmerized the audience with everlasting songs of Kishore Kumar.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Jammu Municipal Corporation Mayor was the chief guest while Vikram Malhotra, President District Congress Committee Jammu Urban, Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee Jodhamal Public School (JMPS) and Arti Kuthiala, Trustee JMPS were guests of honour on the occasion.
The songs like ‘O Mere Dil Ke Chain’, ‘Kora Kagaz’ and ‘Tuj Sang Preet Lagayi’ by the singers left the audience spell bound.
On this occasion Instrumentalist Rakesh Anand, Sahil Lucky, Darbari Lal and Music Composer Yash Pal Yash and Surinder Manhas were felicitated with Prestigious Nirvana Academy Music Achievers Award.
Musicians Vicky Gill on Keyboards, Rohit on Pad and Dholak, Varun Kumar on lead Guitar and Gulshan on Bass Guitar coordinated in the event.
Kusum Tickoo anchored the programme while Neelam Bawa, Meenakshi Sharma and Shaveta Sharma were hosts.
