JAMMU, Apr 18: An emergency meeting of All Kashmiri Muslim Migrants Committee Jammu was held under presidentship of Nazir Ahmed Lone its chairman here today. Fida Hussain and Sajad Ahmed Khatana also attended the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by a large number of Kashmiri Muslim migrants in which many burning and day to day problems were discussed.
The meeting stated that recent controversy regarding the return of Kashmiri migrants has been created and raised by the political parties for their own interests. The committee appealed the political parties not to meddle in to the said humanitarian issue. The Central and State governments should settle the issue with return package of 50 lakh rupees to the migrants and chalk out a plan for migrants settlement at their respective tehsil headquarters..
The meeting further said the daily problems like issuance of ration cards particularly for Muslim migrants who are always pushed to the wall be settled and urged the Government to issue directives to Relief authorities to settle the problems of Muslim migrants.
