JAMMU, June 1: In an impressive function organized by Muslim Unity Front under its president Ch Noor Alam, the newly elected Member of Parliament of BJP from Jammu-Poonch, Constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna and State general secretary (organization) Ashok Koul were felicitated in presence of leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria, State general secretary & Ex-Mayor Kavinder Gupta, BJP leader & retired IGP Farooq Khan and other senior functionaries of the Party at Bhatindi.
Avinash Rai Khanna, on this occasion, said that Muslims are as important as other religions and communities and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had himself repeatedly said during election campaigns that for BJP every Indian citizen, irrespective of his faith and caste, is part and parcel of this nation which has a population of 125 crore people.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that in the victory of BJP MPs in Lok Sabha elections, the contribution of the Muslim voters has been splendid and now BJP will take care of them for the next five years.
Ashok Khajuria said that the Kashmir-centric political parties and their leaders always took the Muslims of Jammu for granted.
Farooq Khan, who played an important and active role in organizing such a massive programme in Bhatindi area, said that the Muslims cannot be divided any more now on the name of religion and region. The Muslims have themselves realized that BJP was never untouchable for them but the parties like NC and Congress had unleashed a false propaganda painting BJP as communal.
It may be mentioned here that the BJP’s High Command has given Farooq Khan very important assignment of increasing Party’s base in mixed population seats in all three regions of the State. It was in this context that Farooq Khan, a retired IPS Officer, would be campaigning in the State.
Farooq Khan is under pressure from the Party and the people to contest either from Gandhi Nagar or Nagrota Assembly seats in the coming elections.
Dr Liaqat Zafari conducted the proceedings of the programme. Another social activist Ch Aftab Mashqoor gave a number of instances which themselves prove that BJP and its Prime Minister Narendra Modi is true secular and loves every Indian. The function was also addressed by Dr Tahir Choudhary.
