RAJOURI, Apr 29: Terming Muslims as one of the important pillar of secular India, State Vice President of Bhartiya Janta Party and Member Legislative Council Advocate Vibodh Gupta has said that without minority community, India should not have qualified the status of most secular country of the world.
Addressing a function of Muslim Rashtriya Manch at Thanamandi which was organised by Muslims of Thanamandi in his honour, Advocate Vibodh Gupta said India is secular country having space for communities, race, colours and creed and the Constitution gave equal status to all.
He said that without Muslims or other minorities, India was incomplete and could not have attained the status of worlds most secular country. He said that every Muslim is feeling proud to associate themselves with a secular India. Narendra Modi always talks bout 125 crore people of India which comprises people of all parties, all communities, religions and castes and this policy of BJP has given very respectable position on India in the world, he added.
He said Rajouri and Poonch are an example of secularism as it is the land of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah, Baba Budha Amarnath and Baba Nangali Sahib and these shrines are real examples that how people from all walks of life live together and believe in each others faith. Gupta demanded a Pilgrimage Toursit Circuit for linking these three shrines Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah, Baba Budha Amarnath and Baba Nangali Sahib.
Others who accompanied Gupta included Aatam Gupta, Ashwani Kumar, Kamal Bakshi and Ranjeet Tara.
