JAMMU, Sept 13: Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated today across the Kargil district with full religious fervour and enthusiasm.
Eid prayers were offered by huge congregations everywhere, biggest of which was seen at Jama Masjid Kargil, Islamia School, Masjid Noorbakshia and Eidgah where thousands of Muslims offered special Eid Prayers.
The prayers were organised by Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust , Islamia School and Jammat -e -Ahle Sunnat Kargil .
In Sankoo , Suru , Sharogole , Wakha , Drass and Zanaskar big gatherings were seen in different mosques .
During the prayers sermons were delivered in which Imams have offered special prayer for the peace in Iraq, Syria , Yemen , Bahrain and other parts of Islamic countries. The people also offered special prayers for peace in Kashmir valley.
During the sermons in mosques Imams have condemned Saudi Kings for not allowing Iranian pilgrims to perform Hajj and appealed Muslim community to remain vigilant against any kind of conspiracy from US-Zionist and its allies against Muslim community.
