‘Muslims, Christians to join Kal Bharav Ashtami celebrations’

JAMMU, Nov 17: Followers of different religions will mark their presence in the weeklong religious programme at ancient Kal Bharav temple here at Dhontly Bazar, in the heart of old Jammu city to celebrate Shri Kal Bharav Ashtami.
Flanked by the leaders of Sikhs, Muslims and Christians, Pandit Rumil Sharma, the head priest of the temple in a news conference this morning invited the people of all castes and religions to participate in this grand religious congregation.
Sunny Khokhar-a youth Christian leader, Humayun Paul-a Muslim leader and Sukhbir Singh-a DGPC Granthi were also present in the press conference to assure participation of their community members in the religion function for strengthening communal brotherhood.
Sharma informed that the celebrations will start from Nov 25 with Prabhat Pheri at 5:00 am and the weeklong programme will culminate on Nov 30 with a grand Bhandara.
“There will be a bike rally, congregation of 52 Biradaries among other programmes during the week,” Sharma informed.
