Muslims protest against atrocities on Palestinians

JAMMU, June 8: A protest rally was organised by Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu and Shaheed Murtaza Mutahri Library Jammu and other organizations  to express their solidarity with the people of Palestine and illegal occupation of Palestinian land by Israel.
After offering Friday prayers which were held at Jamia Masjid Peer Mitha , here hundreds of Muslims held a peaceful protest to impress upon the international community to come forward in a big way to help the people of Palestine. On the occasion, peaceful protest march was taken out from Imam Bargah Sofi Shah Peer Mitha to Shahidi Chowk to condemn the atrocities committed by forces of Israel over the people of Palestine.
Moulana , Ali Badshah Naqvi Imam Jumma Imamia Masjid Peer Mitha in his address said that it is the duty of every human being to come forward to support the oppressed people. He said that this protest has nothing to do with a particular community and person with any faith can participate in it and they have right to stand against the atrocities committed by any regime in the world.
Syed Amanaat Ali Shah, president Anjuman-e-Imamia said that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony and it always stood against the tyranny of brutal forces like Israel, United States and other likeminded agencies. He emphasized on maintaining a harmony among society and condemned all types of injustice /atrocities on innocent humans irrespective of caste, creed and colour throughout the world.
Prof Sujat Khan, secretary Anjuman said that we stand shoulder to shoulder with the oppressed and against the oppressor. He said we gathered here to pay homage to the children who have been killed by the Israel forces in Palestine and the innocent killings by ISIS in Yemen, Syria or any other part of world.
The protesters were raising slogans against the atrocities of Israel on Palestinians, US backed Aal-e-Saud regime over Yemenis. They shouted slogans in favour of oppressed people of Gaza, Yemen, Bahrain, Mynmar and others.
The others who participated in the protest included All Ladakh Students Association, Jammu, Anjuman-e-Haidari New Plots, Anjuman-e-Hussaini Bathindi and other Anjumans of Poonch, Palera, Mandi, Surankote ETC.
Prof Shujat Khan, secretary AIJ also spoke on the occasion.
