Mustard oil gains on local demand

NEW DELHI, Sept 27: Barring a rise in mustard oil on mild local demand, other edible and non-edible oils held steady at the wholesale market today in the absence of any worthwhile activity.

Traders said scattered buying by local parties helped mustard oil prices to trade higher.

In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) oil moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 7,300 per quintal.

Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,000-1,200.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,550, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,300-1,350, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,300, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,225- 1,275, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,275-1,375, sesame mill delivery 8,300, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,550, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,250, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,800, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,250, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,900, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,700 and Coconut (per tin) 2,700-2,775.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,000, Castor 9,650-9,750, Neem 5,350-5,450. (PTI)
