POONCH, July 20: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Poonch today concluded a successful enforcement drive in the Kalai and Kunaiyan area, in the presence of ARTO Poonch.
During the drive, 25 vehicles were checked, 10 were challaned for various offenses which included one case of overloading of passengers, another using a mobile phone while driving, one case of breach of permit conditions, two cases of driving without a license, one case of driving without registration, one case of driving without documents and three cases of general offenses,
During this drive three vehicles were seized. The total amount from the e-challans issued is put at Rs 20,100.
The enforcement drive was a part of the department’s ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with the Motor Vehicle Act and promote road safety in the region.
