KATHUA, Nov 23: Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Lakhanpur during the checking challaned / compounded 123 vehicles under different offenses of Motor Vehicles Act 1988/ M V Rules 1989.
The checking team of MVD led by RTO Lakhanpur, Ajay Sharma comprising of ARTO Mohamed Saleem Manhas, inspectors Surinder Kumar and Shammi Kapoor along with other staff members conducted checking on the National Highway continuously for 24 hours on November 22 and 23.
The team imposed penalty on violators and collected a fine of Rs 3,40,500.00 spot. They also warned the vehicle operators to ply the vehicles as per the provisions of Motor Vehicle Act 1988/MV Rules 1989 and also keep proper documents with them.
