DODA, Jan 10: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in Doda organised a one-day medical health check-up camp for drivers at the Dak Banglow in Thathri. This initiative, led by Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh and supervised by ARTO Doda Rajesh Gupta was aimed to prioritize the well-being and safety of drivers by providing essential health check-ups and treatments.
The camp offered complimentary health assessments, encompassing blood pressure checks and hemoglobin tests, to guarantee the fitness of drivers for safe vehicle operation. Over 70 drivers availed themselves of medical health screenings, receiving not only thorough check-ups but also free medications.
The event garnered significant participation from the commercial driving community across the district, emphasizing the importance of maintaining optimal health for effective and efficient driving.
During the program, ARTO Doda delivered a detailed presentation on various traffic rules and regulations. Discussions centered around the significance of adhering to traffic signals, signs, zebra crossings, and speed limits. MVD officials affirmed their commitment to organizing such health-focused initiatives regularly, emphasizing the reduction of road accidents through the physical fitness of drivers. Positive feedback from participants underscored the drivers’ appreciation for the department’s dedication to prioritizing their health and safety.
