Doda, July 26: Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team of Doda conducted a camp at Dak Bungalow Thathri. The primary focus of this camp was to address the alarming rate of accidents occurring in the district due to negligence and other factors. Spearheaded by ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, the event aimed to provide specialized training to drivers and cleaners, equipping them with essential first aid procedures to safeguard both passengers and themselves in times of mishaps while driving.
The expert members of the State Disaster Response Force diligently imparted detailed training on first aid procedures to drivers and cleaners of commercial vehicles. The camp witnessed an overwhelming turnout of commercial vehicle operators who participated with dedication and enthusiasm. The presence of SHO Thathri, Amit Katoch, along with other police officials, traffic police officers, PRIs, and BDC Chairpersons ensured effective supervision and successful execution of the awareness camp.
DIO Doda Mohd Ashraf further elaborated that the awareness camp held at Dak Bungalow Thathri aimed to equip commercial vehicle operators with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively handle emergencies and provide first aid to accident victims. The region being prone to potential disasters, it was deemed crucial to ensure every vehicle operator is well-informed and capable of handling any situation. ARTO Doda, with the support of Motor Vehicle Inspector Chander Mohan, a team of MVD, SHO Thathri, traffic police officers, volunteers, PRIs, and senior citizens, orchestrated a comprehensive and impactful event.
