Doda July 25: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) of Doda organized an awareness camp to educate the public about various road safety schemes launched by the Government of India and the Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
The event, held under the supervision of Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Doda Rajesh Gupta, aimed to bridge the information gap and ensure that deserving beneficiaries are aware of and can access these vital schemes.
Despite the numerous initiatives like the Hit and Run Scheme, Good Samaritan Scheme, Road Accident Victim Fund, and the Automated Testing Stations (ATS), there has been a noticeable lack of awareness among the general public. This has resulted in many eligible beneficiaries missing out on the benefits intended for them.
During the event, the MVD Doda promoted the road safety awareness and benefits of Government schemes to the driving licence aspirants in Trial Ground.
ARTO Doda Rajesh Gupta emphasized the necessity of such initiatives, stating, “Creating awareness is crucial. These schemes are designed to protect and assist citizens, but they can only be effective if people are aware of them. We are committed to using all available platforms, including print, electronic, and social media, to reach the maximum number of people”.
