DODA, Dec 6: Motor Vehicle Department Doda in collaboration with the Ayush Department Doda, District Health Society Doda, Rotary Eye Foundation Udhampur and APCO Infratech Private Limited today organised free health camp check up for commercial drivers of Doda, Kishtwar area at Raggi nallha.
The aim of the camp was to ensure the well-being and safety of drivers by providing them with health check-ups and necessary treatments.The opening ceremony of the free health checkup was presided over by the SSP traffic Rohit Basotra.
The camp offered free health check-ups, including eye examinations, blood pressure checks, hemoglobin tests, to ensure the well-being and fitness of drivers to operate vehicles safely. During the camp, drivers were screened for various eye conditions, and those requiring further treatment or specialized care were referred to appropriate healthcare facilities. More than 229 commercial drivers has been check ups and medications were provided free of cost to those in need.
On the occasion ARTO Doda Rajesh Gupta emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups for drivers, as one who drive must be healthy. SSP Traffic Ramban award the drivers about various traffic signs and gave them a detailed function/use of these signs.
Officials from Rottery eye foundation Udhampur gave a detailed awareness about common eye problems that can affect their vision, such as refractive errors, cataracts, and glaucoma. Drivers were also informed about the significance of wearing appropriate eyewear, such as glasses or contact lenses, if needed.
