RTO addresses gathering

Jammu, Dec 6: An awareness camp was organised by Motor Vehicles Department Jammu under the overall supervision of RTO Jammu, Pankaj Bhagotra at Jammu – Kathua and Jammu – R.S Pura, Warehouse here today.
During the awareness program, the RTO elaborated the ‘Mumkin scheme’ to the participants. Speaking on the occasion, he said that under the scheme, small commercial vehicles are being provided to unemployed young people in the age bracket of 18- 35 years. A large number of youth have already availed the benefits out of the scheme , he added and further urged the participants to connect more and more unemployed youth with them.
He further said that the chief purpose of the scheme is to facilitate the youth to establish a sustainable livelihood in transport sector by providing financial assistance. The Mission Youth shall provide an amount of Rs 80,000 or 10 percent of the on road price of the vehicle (whichever is lesser) as an upfront subsidy, the vehicle manufacturer shall also provide an upfront special discount , not less than the amount of subsidy and the Banking partner shall extend loan facility to the extent of 100 percent of the on -road price of the vehicle to be purchased, he elaborated.
