JAMMU, July 21: A deputation of Mohalla Welfare Committee (MWC), Sector-3, Nanak Nagar, under the chairmanship of Joginder Singh met Chief Engineer, PDD, Shehnaz Goni, in her office chamber and submitted a memorandum of grievances.
The deputation comprised of Kultar Singh, Tej Pal Singh, Mohinder Singh, Onkar Singh and others, briefed the Chief Engineer about the grievances suffered by the locals. The major demand of the deputation was to shift the load from overloaded feeder N-11which caused a curtailment of more than twelve hours a day. Besides, the deputation requested the Chief Engineer to direct the department officials to maintain strict curtailment time-table.
The Chief Engineer redressed some of their demands on the spot and assured them to redress the others within a week’s time.
