My dogs help curb loneliness: Steven Tyler

LOS ANGELES, July 30:

Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, who quit ‘American Idol’ to focus on making music with his band, says his departure from the show has enabled him to spend more time with his loved ones.

Tyler, 64, said that his now-sober lifestyle makes him lonely at times and which is when he turns to his dogs for support, reported People magazine.

“(I have) a Yorkie and a Morkie. One is a teacup I put in my pocket. And the other one I put in a sling over my shoulder, and I walk around, and it’s the cutest thing on the planet. Dogs have a lot of love. They sleep right next to my neck,” he said.

The duo also help the rocker stay in line and filling the void left by his former hard-partying habits.

“I miss going out to a club, yakking it up. So I talk to my dogs. When I’m listening to final mixes (I’ll say) ‘You think Joe’s solo should be a little louder?’” (agencies)
