Srinagar, Dec 5: Protests today broke out in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar this afternoon after body of a youth who was found dead in Ramban area on National Highway reached home.
Police said that Ramban police recovered a body about 15 feet’s down the National Highway at Nashri in Chanderkot area.
Ramban police has taken cognizance and a case has been registered to ascertain the cause of the death.
Police said that the initial investigations point out that the body has been placed there during the night.
Later the body was identified as of Tasleem Sidiq son of Mohammad Sidiq resident of Malapora, Habba Kadal, Srinagar. The body was handed over to the family. Residents protested and demanded investigation into his death.
