KATHUA, Dec 10: Mystery shrouds the death of a person at Punarjeevan Rehabilitation and Drug Counseling Centre in Kathua under the jurisdiction of Lakhanpur Police Station (PS).
The deceased has been identified as Jaspal Singh, 39, son of Gurdeep Singh resident of Batala Gurdaspur, Punjab.
Police has registered a case under Section 174 in this regard and started investigation and legal formalities.
The police said that cause of death is not known as yet and it will be only ascertained after the autopsy report is received which has been conducted in Kathua Hospital.
Police said he was brought dead to Hospital.
However the inmates of Rehabilitation centre alleged that he was beaten mercilessly and demanded Magisterial enquiry into the matter.
