Mysterious disappearance

Jammu legal fraternity is greatly exercised over the mysterious disappearance of a colleague Advocate Raman Wazir of State High Court. Jammu Bar Association is on strike for the third day demanding that police find out the whereabouts of the missing Advocate. Even the Divisional Bench of the High Court has expressed its anxiety over the disappearance and has directed the police to activate its functionaries and find the clue to the disappearance. The High Court ordered constituting Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the mysterious disappearance of Advocate Raman Wazir, who is missing since July 31.
When the Bar Association representation, which was treated as Habeas Corpus petition by the Chief Justice, came up for hearing, Justice Tashi Rabstan observed that despite lapse of 52 hours the police has not been able to find the clue to this disappearance. The High Court has warned the IGP Jammu as well as SSP Jammu would be held responsible if the police fails to bring the investigation to its logical end.
It is an aspersion on the functioning of Jammu police for its failure of tracing the missing Advocate even when 52 hours of his disappearance have lapsed. Entire Jammu has become anxious that the Advocate has gone missing and the police are unable to trace him. This gives rise to many doubts and fears as we are passing through a period of terrorism and disturbance in the State.
Keeping the sentiments of the citizens of Jammu in mind and the concerns of the legal fraternity as well as the High Court, we hope that Jammu police will waste no time in finding the whereabouts of Advocate Raman Wazir.
