PATNA, Mar 12: Mysteryl shrouds over the missing passes of 16 people for attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address at the to closing ceremony of Centenary celebration of Patna High Court which sent the authorities in a tizzy.
Notwithstanding strict adherence to the norms of issuing passes by Patna High Court authorities to judges, senior advocates, judicial officers and other important dignitaries , at least 16 passes went missing from the office of Advocates Association.
Finding no clue, 16 passes were immediately cancelled keeping in view of increaseed threat to Mr Modi after the aftermath of intrusion of 10 pakistan based terrorists in Gujarat recently.
When reached for comment, Mr Sriprakash Srivastav, president of Advocates Association said that the passes might have been taken away by the lawyers who could not get it due to its limited numbers.
He, however, did not lodge an FIR but duly informed the authorities concerned. Security personnel manning the security arrangement of the Prime Minister were on their toes in view of the lapses and all participants including media personnel were subjected to rigorous frisking and security drills. The authorities, heaved a sigh of relief after the function passed off peacefully. (UNI)
