SAMBA, Aug 13: A 40-year-old woman died under mysterious circumstances at Harsath in Ghagwal area of Samba district, today.
Reports said that she had swallowed a poisonous substance. According to the information received, the woman swallowed poisonous substances under mysterious circumstances at her home, after which her condition deteriorated.
She was immediately brought to Ghagwal Hospital, where after first aid from the doctors, she was referred to GMC Jammu for better treatment. She died during treatment. After the post mortem of the lady, the body was handed over to her relatives for the last rites.
The Samba police have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation in this context.
Meanwhile a dead body was found near Railway Station, Bari Brahamana today. The deceased has been identified as Balbir Singh, 45, son of Uttam Singh of Channi Kartholi. The cause of his death has not been ascertained as yet.
