JAMMU, Nov 20: The Peer team from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore arrived for assessment and re-accreditation of Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College.
The three members team comprising of Dr P Prakash, Vice Chancellor, Dr BR Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad, Prof Shrawan K Sharma, Head Department of English, Gurukul Kangri University Haridwar and Dr Kavita Rege, Principal, Sathaye College Mumbai is on three day visit to the college for on spot assessment of academics, co-curricular activities, paraphernalia and pedagogies, infrastructure, support services and sports.
On the first day today, the Peer team held meeting with Dr Satinder Singh, Principal of the college and IQAC members before visiting various faculty departments for interaction with students and the teachers.
It is pertinent to mention that GGM Science College, which is also Nodal College for all the Colleges of Jammu Province was earlier accredited by NAAC Bangalore in 2004.
