JAMMU, Nov 22: The 3-day visit of NAAC Peer team to GGM Science College Jammu for the Accreditation and Reassessment of the college, concluded today with the handing over of their sealed report to the college Principal Dr Satinder Singh.
During the visit, NAAC Peer team from Banglore interacted with faculty members, non-teaching staff, students, their parents and the college alumni.
The visiting team, comprising Dr P Parkash, Vice-Chancellor of Dr B R Ambedkar Open University Hyderabad; Prof Shrawan K Sharma, HoD English Gurukul Kangri University Haridwar and Dr Kavita Rege, Principal of Sathaye College, Mumbai, undertook the detailed assessment of academics, infrastructure, co-curricular activities, sports and support services of the college.
The Peer team commended the college administration for the enriched academic milieu of the institution, qualified and dedicated faculty and supportive non-teaching staff. The very well maintained campus of the college notwithstanding the vast area and the infrastructural richness while preserving the natural heritage of the college, were highly appreciated by the Peer team in its observation shared with the college during the exit meet, said Dr Satinder Singh.
Pertinent to mention that NAAC assessment was earlier conducted by the Science College in 2004 and that time B ++ grading was accorded to this institution.
