NABARD Jammu shifts to new office building

page14-4JAMMU, Nov 8: Jammu and Kashmir Regional Office of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has shifted its operation from the existing premises to a newly constructed NABARD Tower at Railway Road, Rail Head Complex.
The building was inaugurated by Chairman of NABARD Dr Harsh Kumar Bhanwala on August 31, 2015 during his State visit to Jammu and Kashmir. NABARD would supervise its operations in the entire State from this iconic building which is a landmark in the region.
The new well equipped building will enhance the efficiency in delivery of its services for business as well as developmental programs. Spread over 1875 sq mtr of land, the building has ground plus five floors with basement parking and a total office floor area of 2800 Sq. mtrs. The building is equipped with Central Air conditioning, two modern passenger lifts with automatic rescue devices, power back up by a silent DG set with automatic changeover facility, water supply network, with bore well and municipal connection. It is also equipped with a conference hall, meeting hall, mini meeting rooms and visitors lounge in all floors.
The energy saving features of the building include Sensor based lighting system for energy saving in lighting of unoccupied areas and Energy efficient screw type compressor systems for AC plant. The security and safety measures of the building include high wall perimeter fencing with round the clock security personnel, Surveillance system with 13 cameras with video footage monitoring, recording, storing and retrieving facility, fire fighting system and fire alarm system with hydrants, smoke detectors, automatic sprinklers, etc. and X ray baggage scanning system, pop-up bollards for intercepting intrusion of vehicles through main gate.
The building has been constructed by CPWD.
