KATHUA, Mar 6: One day Financial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign (FLIC) was organized at Government Higher Secondary School, Jakhbar, here today by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for the students.
The main participants in Financial Literacy campaign were Aman Kalsotra, DDM, NABARD, R K Kalsotra, Associate LBO, Kathua, Mahinder Kumar, Director, SBI R-SETI, Kathua, Som Raj Raghuvanshi, Principal, Jakhbar, R. Kacchru, Branch Manager, JKGB, Kathua and students of HSS, Jakhbar.
The DDM informed the students about the initiatives undertaken by NABARD under financial inclusion. Financial inclusion means, access at a reasonable cost of all households and enterprises to the range of financial services for which they are “bankable,” including savings, credit, leasing and factoring, mortgages, insurance, pensions, payments and local and international transfers. He asked all the students to open no-frill accounts to their advantage.
Director, R-SETI, Kathua informed the students about the training cum hostel facilities available at SBI R-SETI, Kathua located at Shiva Nagar and emphasized them to plan for future and get themselves trained under specialized activity of their choice, which will earn them income.
R. Kacchru informed the students about the different schemes of the Bank.
R K Kalsotra congratulated NABARD on holding Financial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign in Jakhbar.
The Principal of the School asked the students to take advantage of education loan and go in for technical education to improve their living standards.
