HARIDWAR, Mar 23: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) organised a programme under which a one day visit for the officials of regional rural banks, state cooperative banks and district cooperative banks was organised to Patanjali Research Institute, Haridwar.
The programme was inaugurated by Acharya Balkrishna of Patanjali who is a renowned personality in the field of Ayurveda.
He welcomed the guests by garlanding them and the function started with a Yagya.
Speaking on the occasion Acharya Balkrishna highlighted the role of NABARD in helping farmers by Kisan Credit Cards, loans and other schemes.
The visit included a tour of the institute’s Ayurvedic research wing, herbal gardens and modern food processing units.
NABARD representative Suman Kumar said that their organisation works in rural areas for the development of agricultural practices, small rural units and other rural enterprises and professionals.
The guests were introduced to innovative farming techniques, organic farming methods and sustainable agricultural practices.
In his address, NABARD Chairman emphasized the importance of Government and institutional collaboration in ensuring the success of rural development programs.
The visit also included practical demonstrations of advanced agricultural techniques, including organic fertilizers, plant disease control methods and precision farming tools.
Head of the Patanjali Research Institute, Dr. Ved Priya Arya spoke about the role of the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) in enhancing the standards of technical, vocational education in India.
NABARD representatives who were present on the occasion were Pankaj Yadav, Suman Kumar, Bhupender Kumawat, Gurvender Singh Ahuja, Shobna Singh, Pooja, Himanshu Fartyal and others.
At the end of the event the organisers gave mementoes and certificates to the guests.
