Insiders in the party said Nadda has taken note of almost regular protests not only outside the BJP headquarters but at various other places after distribution of tickets and spoke on telephone to BJP Incharges for J&K and other senior leaders and asked them to talk to the dissident groups and take them into confidence.
The development comes after supporters of BJP aspirants for the mandate protested outside the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar and few other places in protest against denial of mandate to some of the leaders. The protests were widely reported in national and local media as this is something not done by the BJP leaders openly.
Nadda, who is scheduled to address a series of rallies in Jammu and Kashmir along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh besides other senior leaders, is closely monitoring the election campaign in Jammu and Kashmir which will be intensified after finalization of names of the candidates and process for withdrawal of nominations is over for first two phases.
The party high command is constantly in touch with BJP Incharges Ram Madhav, G Kishen Reddy, Tarun Chugh, Dr Jitendra Singh, Ashish Sood, Ravinder Raina and general secretary (Organizations) Ashok Koul and is taking regular reports from them.
The party leaders are of the view that dissensions at some of the seats are already being anticipated as there were large number of aspirants for every seat. Moreover, during past few years, the leaders from National Conference, Congress, People’s Democratic Party and Panthers Party had joined the BJP and some of them had to be accommodated for the mandate.
However, they expressed confidence that resentment among some of the party leaders have either been tackled or will be over within next few days and the party would put up a unit facer and contest the elections collectively to win maximum number of seats.
