SRINAGAR: Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhtar today reviewed various developmental works at Shangus and Pahalgam wherein he stressed on the officials to ensure that all projects are completed within the stipulated time for the greater benefit of people.
While reviewing the progress on various projects the Minister was informed that five bridges will be completed in this year.
The Minister informed that the two regions are set for huge development with the start of work on various mega projects. The road projects already approved include Brakpora-Chattergul road at a cost of Rs 32 crore, Mattan road at a cost of Rs 20 crore, Pahalgam road, KP road and other projects. He said that in addition to these projects, four road projects under PMGSY are also underway. He said that macadamisation process of all important roads has been undertaken and at various stages of completion.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairmen Jammu and Kashmir Tourist Development Corporation (JKDTC) RafiAhmad Mir Vice Chairman, J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (JKKVIB), Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, Chief Engineer R&B and other officials.
