POONCH, Jan 4: A vibrant Nagar Kirtan was organized in Poonch to commemorate the 358th Parkash Parv of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Guru of Sikhism.
An impressive procession commenced from Singh Sabha Gurdwara Poonch, drawing a large number of devotees who engaged in various activities, including martial arts performances by the youth.
Nagar Kirtan was marked by the presence of the Saroop of Sahib Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, beautifully adorned alongside five beloved ones (Pyaras). This spiritual celebration brought together the community in a display of faith and devotion.
District Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee Poonch, (DGPC) Poonch, expressed gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, and SSP Poonch, Shafaqat Hussain Bhat, along with all supporting departments such as the Motor Vehicle Department, Health Department, JPDCL, PHE, Fire & Emergency, Municipality etc. for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth execution of the Nagar Kirtan.
During the event, preacher Harjeet Singh Harman from Punjab delivered an enlightening discourse on the life history of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the rich history of Sikhism, inspiring attendees and enriching the spiritual atmosphere of the occasion.
In his address, general secretary DGPC Poonch, Harcharan Singh also emphasized the significance of Sikh history highlighting the teachings and legacy of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
The Nagar Kirtan not only celebrated the legacy of Guru Gobind Singh Ji but also fostered a sense of unity and community spirit among the participants.
