KATHUA, Nov 6: Nagari police has detained one Jatinder Pal, son of Om Nath and his wife Anjali Kumari resident of Gurdas Nangal, Gurdasspur. They were taken into custody for impersonating as Munshi of Police Post Nagari and demanding bribe from the people.
Police arrested the duo on the basis of a complaint of a shopkeeper who was harassed by the couple. They were in possession of Identity Card of Anti Crime Intelligence Sanghtan, Gurdasspur. Anjali Kumari had identity Card of district chairman, Women Cell of Anti Crime Intelligence. As per police reports they were harassing the shopkeepers at village Badala , Kathua and demanding Rs 10,000 on the name of Munshi of Police Post, Nagari. Police has registered a case and started investigation into matter.
