KATHUA, Sept 9: Nagri Police during a drive in the area today destroyed 700 litres of illicit liquor (Lahan) and also seized 10 liters of illicit liquor along with apparatus used for manufacturing the same from the accused involved in illegal distillation of liquor.
The liquor was destroyed during a raid conducted by a police party of PP Nagri headed by SI Ashwani Kumar, IC PP Nagri at Kangrayal. The accused lady namely Baby W/o Lattu Kumar R/o Kangrayal Tehsil & District Kathua was taken into custody and case FIR No. 266/2017 U/s 48(e) Excise Act stands registered against her at Police Station Kathua.
The drive was carried out under the supervision of S.S. Sambyal, DySP Hqrs. Kathua and overall supervision of Mohd. Suleman Choudhary-, SSP Kathua.
