Nagrota encounter: Anti Pak protest held, action of security forces lauded

JAMMU, Jan 31: After elimination of heavy armed three Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants in Nagrota encounter, anti Pak protests were held here today. However, the immediate action of the security forces to eliminate the militants was lauded.
The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of its President Ashok Gupta held a protest against the Pakistan. Gupta while speaking said that Nagrota terror attack is a cowardly attack which shows how baffled Pakistan is after the removal of Articles 370 and 35-A from Jammu and Kashmir.
Gupta appealed to the opposition parties that rather than just playing politics over the issues which solidifies the countries security they should support the Government as the nation as a whole and the security of its citizens is paramount.
Gupta also appealed to the Chief of Defence Staff to finish the Pakistan once for all as this nation will never mend its ways of sending terrorists to India.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leaders Raman Bhalla, Mula Ram, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Ravinder Sharma, Balwan Singh, Yogesh Sawhney, Choudhary Shah Mohammad (Adv), Manmohan Singh, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Manjit Singh, Vikram Malhotra and Hari Singh Chib in a statement lauding the forces for successfully eliminating the militants, for which the entire joint team of security forces who carried out the entire operation deserve appreciation. They expressed serious concern over the infiltration and crossing over the group from long stretch from Kathua to Ban Toll Plaza in Nagrota dodging several security nakas on the route. They said that the incident has established the continued infiltration of militants from various parts of Jammu and adjoining districts, requiring further strengthening and intensification of the security and intelligence network, especially in the entire border areas besides the strengthening the internal security in the city and entire Jammu region.
However, Jammu West Assembly Movement held protest against Pakistan. Amid slogans, the workers of JWAM burnt the Pakistani flags and effigies of top terrorists operating from Pakistan. The protestors also launched the joint efforts of the security forces in eliminating three terrorists near Ban Toll Plaza in Nagrota. While speaking, President JWAM has appealed to Prime Minister to initiate strict action against Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism. He also demanded deportation of illegal immigrants.
