Naib Sarpanch among two bovine smugglers held

JAMMU, Dec 17: Police today arrested two bovine smugglers including Naib Sarpanch of village Pakhar, tehsil Sunderbani and recovered four milch animals from their possession at Chowki Choura area of tehsil Akhnoor.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Chowki Choura Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a Tata mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK11A-2475.
During checking, police recovered four bovine animals and arrested a Naib Sarpanch Kewal Krishan, son of Munshi Ram of village Pakhar, tehsil Sunderbani and Nasir Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of district Rajouri.
A case under FIR number 277/ 12 under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Chowki Choura Police Station and investigation started.
The arrest was made by police party from Chowki Choura Police Post led by SI Joginder Singh, under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Mahesh Sharma and DySP RM Bhat.
