JAMMU, Sept 26: A deputation of Naib Tehsildars of Jammu province today met Financial Commissioner, Revenue, J&K, in his camp office and submitted him a memorandum of demands.
Headed by Sanjeevan Sharma, the deputation members apprised the Commissioner that they are confirmed Girdwars with effect from 2009 and from the year 2014 the department started utilizing their services as Naib-Tehsildars on ‘lookafter’ basis and the said arrangement is still continuing.
They said that they have qualified the departmental examination through PSC in the year 2010, 2011 and 2012 and attained the eligibility for regular promotion as Naib-Tehsildars but they have not been regularized/confirmed. “Moreover the charge allowance payable to the applicants as admissible under J&KCSR has also not been paid to them till date”, they added.
The deputation appealed the Commissioner to redress their grievances by confirming their services as Naib-Tehsildars with effect from the dates they are working on the post and further release the charge allowance as admissible under J&K CSR in their favour.
