JAMMU, Aug 31: Expressing solidarity with the family of Engineer, Gurmeet Singh whose dead body was found in Gantmullla area of Baramulla two days back after he went missing under mysterious circumstances, BJP Minority Morcha has demanded unravelling the mystery behind his death and justice to bereaved family.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, president of the Morcha who was flanked by his team, demanded a through probe into the death of the Gurmeet Singh AEE, R&B Baramulla.
“I would like to tell you all that we are really perturbed over the ‘mysterious’ death of AEE Gurmeet Singh at Baramulla in Kashmir. He was really a nice person and gentleman to the core. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray for peace to the departed soul. AEE Gurmeet had left house at Baramulla on the evening of Friday but did not return after that. His body was recovered on Tuesday from a barrage in Baramulla district which came as a shock for the people of J&K, especially the community members”, said Nalwa.
He assured the family that the BJP Minority Morcha is with them in this hour of grief. Nalwa said that the horrendous incident that occurred resulting in the death of Gurmeet Singh, needs to be thoroughly probed by a high-level team specially formulated for the investigation and the culprits be booked at the earliest.
He also requested the LG, Manoj Sinha, to personally ensure that justice is meted out in the shortest possible time.
Nalwa called upon the people of the UT to maintain peace and communal harmony as the efforts of Modi Government in bringing peace to Kashmir have begun to yield fruit and at this juncture it is the need of the hour to defeat any nefarious designs of external forces hell bent upon disrupting peace in the region by spreading rumours and misinformation.
Others who were present in the press conference included Santokh Singh, general secretary Morcha, Balvinder Singh, Rajinder Singh Jasmeet Kour its vice presidents, Dr. Surjit Singh chief spokesperson and Farid Ahmed Fani
